What is the Hull Masters of Business Administration (MBA)?

What you need to achieve the MBA

Those taking up study must have a sustained level of motivation and commitment to the course, which runs over one year. Participants will also need an enquiring and open mind and be willing to share their own knowledge and perspectives on issues that affect every business. This reflection upon existing knowledge helps to maximise the value of the course and the potential for intellectual growth and development.

Who can apply?

Graduates with at least three years appropriate experience can apply for the Hull MBA. The programme takes students from many countries and draws upon material that is international in scope.

Where is the MBA delivered?

The Hull MBA is delivered in the Business School on the Hull Campus of the University of Hull.

The programme is also offered by part-time study over two years in Hull and distance taught in Bahrain, Hong Kong, Oman and Singapore. Participants studying in Hull have the opportunity to take of one the MBA modules overseas and those studying overseas to take a module in Hull.

Structure of the MBA

The academic year at the University of Hull starts in September. The first teaching semester runs until December with the second running from January to the end of May. During that time, MBA students complete twelve modules each worth ten credits together with the research methods element of the dissertation.

The summer period from June to August is spent working independently with expert academic supervision on the MBA dissertation.
